Just east of Granger, between Granger and Taylor, is Granger Lake, which is fed by the San Gabriel River. Granger Lake and dam is maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Willis Creek Park is open year round for day use and camping and has sewer hookups, primitive camping sites, group shelter, equestrian trails for horseback riding, a boat ramp, and fishing opportunities. Friendship Park is a day use park with group shelter, a boat ramp, a swim beach, and picnic sites.
Granger Independent School District serves Granger area students for pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The University Interscholastic League has classified Granger High School as 2-A.
